Abstract

Recombinat lines cv. Mercia with day-length inensitive genes (Ppd-A1) and control lines day-length sensitive (ppd-A1) were investigated. Experiments were conducted at the Experi-mental Farm in Czeslawice. Number of days from 1st May to full ear emergence, plant height, number of spikelets in spike, number of grains in spike, weight of grains in spike, 1000 grains weight, spikelet fertility, plot yield and disease resistance were investigated. Ppd-A1 genes hand a ignificant influence on acceleration of ear emergence in recombinat lines. Recombinant lines with Ppd-A1 genes were shorter than control forms. Values of other quantitative traits in lines with Ppd-A1 genes and their control form were similar.
