Abstract
The researches were conducted in the green areas of Lublin (The Saxon Garden and the Bronowicki Park) in 2007–2008. The purpose of the study was to examined species, their number and determined damaged degree of Ulmus minor and Ulmus glabra leaves caused by galling aphids from Eriosomatinae subfamily. Two species of aphids, namely Tetraneura ulmi L. and Schizoneura ulmi L., were observed. On Ulmus minor galls were formed by both aphids species and damaged degree of leaves was high and stated 60%. On Ulmus glabra only galls of S. ulmi were noted which presence on 61–82% examined leaves was established. Fifth degree scale was accepted to estimate damaged degree of particular leaves. Damage caused as a result of T. ulmi feeding main classified among I (54%) and II (35%), however these caused by S. ulmi among II (28%) and III (49%) damaged degree.
