The aim of the paper was a diagnostic analysis of structural solutions, conformation, performance and exploitation of self-propelled field sprayers that are available on the market. Enhancements and changes in their conformation, which resulted in functioning and effectiveness improvement achieved over the last few years, were characterized. Furthermore, new solutions implemented in researched sprayers equipment, that influence the quality of spraying process, were shown. As a result of conducted research, it could be stated that despite introducing diversified solutions, which perfect the realization of field spraying process, including construction of new types of self-propelled field sprayers, its effectiveness is extremely low thus far. It could be clearly stated that works on effectiveness improvement of this sphere of agricultural activity should be pursued and intensified.
