Abstrakt

The aim of the study was to determine the effect of soil contamination with Chwastox Trio 540 SL and Granstar 75 WG (optimum and 5 and 10-fold greater than the recommended) on the content of macroelements in spring barley and the correlation between the macroelement accumulation in the plants and soil enzymatic activity. The macroelements content in the aboveground parts of spring barley was determined by the type, dose and method of application of Chwastox Trio 540 SL and Granstar 75 WG into the soil. Accumulation of nitrogen, potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium in spring barley increased with increasing doses of Chwastox Trio 540 SL. High doses of Granstar 75 WG (5 and 10-fold greater than the recommended) caused an increase in the content of all macroelements in the experimental series with foliar application and a decrease in the concentration of nitrogen, sodium, calcium and magnesium was observed in the experimental series with its application to soil. In the Chwastox and Granstar contaminated soil, the activity of urease was correlated with the content of nitrogen in the plants and the activity of acid and alkaline phosphatase was correlated with the content of phosphorus in the aboveground parts of spring barley. The latter correlation was positive in the series with soil application and it was negative in the series with foliar application.
