Abstract

The studies were conducted in the years 2000-2002 on soybean, `Polan` cv., cultivated after such catch-crop plants as tansy phacelia, winter wheat, white mustard, rye, turnip and soybean. The number of healthiness of soybean seedlings and plants at anthesis were the best on plots after the cultivation of winter wheat and rye. The highest yield of soybean seeds was obtained from the plots where winter wheat grew as catch-crop, while the lowest was achieved after soybean as catch-crop. The smallest amount of seeds with brown spots was found in the yield of soybean cultivated after tansy phacelia, and the biggest after soybean. Soybean seedlings were mainly infected by Fusarium culmorum and F. oxysporum f. sp. glycines, while plants at anthesis were mostly infected by the latter species. The genus Phomopsis sojae proved to be espacially harmful to soybean seeds.
