Journal of Animal Science, Biology and Bioeconomy Journal of Animal Science, Biology and Bioeconomy (abbreviated title: J. Anim. Sci. Biol. Bioecon.) has been published since 1983 (formerly Annales UMCS sec. EE Zootechnica).

The original articles concerning research on animal science, animal products, biology and bioeconomy are invited. The journal covers many various aspects of animal science such as in quantitative and molecular genetics, biodiversity, animals breeding and rearing, animal nutrition, physiology and welfare etc. of farming, companion and wild animals.

Journal of Animal Science, Biology and Bioeconomy is online open access journal (printed until 2025), according to Budapest Declaration, under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). Articles published before 2022 are available under Creative Commons Attribution – Non-commercial use – No derivative works  4.0 International licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0).

In the case of research article the results of experiments published in Journal must be replicated, either by replicating treatments within experiments or by repeating.
