The experiment with lettuce Omega F1 cultivars was conducted in a greenhouse in 2011. Plants were grown in pots with a capacity of 2 dm-3 filled with peat substrate liming to pH 6.5. The studies examined the effect of increasing doses of Pentakeep® V fertilizer, containing 5-aminolevulinic acid, on the yield and chemical composition of lettuce grown at varying total concentration of ions in the root environment. The studies found a significantly greater mass unit head of lettuce in the objects fertilized to the rhizosphere with Pentakeep® V 12.2–16.7% compared to control plants. The statistical analysis of results showed a significant decrease in the yield of lettuce grown in a substrate with EC 2.90–3.10 mS·cm-1, compared to other objects. The leaves of plants fertilized to the rhizosphere with Pentakeep® V had a tendency to lower accumulation of total nitrogen, potassium, sodium, iron, zinc, and greater of calcium, manganese and copper as compared to plants grown in the control objects.
