Sweet pepper is one of the most frequently cultivated vegetable in the world. Sweet pepper has high environmental requirements and it needs to be grown from seedlings. In this experiment, the effect of plant spacing on the yield of three Polish sweet pepper cultivars was evaluateded: Caryca F1, Mino, Roberta F1. Four spacing’s were used: 0.67 m × 0.30 m; 0.67 m × 0.40 m; 0.67 m × 0.50 m; 0.67 m × 0.60 m. The highest marketable yield and the highest number of fruits were obtained from cultivation at the smallest spacing (0.67 m × 0.30 m), while the earliest was obtained at the largest spacing (0.67 m × 0.60 m). Plant spacing had no significant effect on the content of selected chemical components. Regardless of the spacing used, the evaluated cultivars differed in yield parameters and content of selected chemical components.
