Abstrakt

The paper presents microelements content in vegetation of mountain grasslands. Samples of the sward were taken from Ujsoły commune situated in the southern part of Beskid Żywiecki with altitude 540–1324 m a.s.l., in a strongly formatted terrain with a slope reaching
30–50°. The vegetation from Złatna contained the most of microelements, and the lowest Fe, Zn and Cu levels were observed in Soblówka. Fe content in the sward from Ujsoły and Złatna was more diversified than in the other localities. More than half of the samples had optimum Fe content, and all samples of the sward from Soblówka and 50% from Glinka revealed its deficit. Mn level in the sward from Soblówka showed the greatest variability. Mn deficit was confirmed in 4% of sward samples, 8% – had optimal its level, and 88% its excessive concentration. Zn content was the most diversified in the sward from Złatna, and in the other localities it proved smaller variability. Too low Zn level was observed in 38% of sward samples, 54% had optimum Zn content, and in 8% its excessive quantity was confirmed. Cu level was more diversified in Soblówka and Ujsoły than in the other two localities. All sward samples revealed a deficit of Cu. Zn and Cu in vegetation were positively correlated with their soil content, and Zn and Mn demonstrated a negative correlation with soil pH. Moreover Zn, Mn and Cu content was positively correlated with total N content in sward, and Zn and Cu – with Fe content in sward.
