Wpływ Ca2+ na zawartość witaminy C, prowitaminy A i ksantofili w owocach wybranych odmian papryki ostrej

Abstrakt

The effect of Ca²⁺ applied at seedling on the quality of hot pepper fruit of different cultivars was studied. It was found that Ca²⁺ stimulated fruit maturation. The mass of ripe fruit of hot pepper cv. Bronowicka Ostra and cv. Cyklon increased by about 17% and 27%, respectively,
compared to the control. Fruits of cv. Tornado had a higher concentration of â-carotene in 100 g of d.m. (30%) than control. The research indicated that Ca²⁺ makes it possible to obtain more fruits of higher quality.
