Abstract

The aim of the study was to investigate the influence of mineral and organic fertilization on selected biological features of Centaurea cyanus L. The tested material was taken from monoculture cultivation of winter rye from following fertilization objects: Ca, CaNPK, NPK, Ca + manure every 1 year, CaNPK + manure every 5 years. From every fertilization object 30 specimens of Centaurea cyanus L. were taken following biological features were evaluated: plant height, number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd category and successive ramifications, the number of inflorescences, the number of seeds in one flower head. The results were statistically analyzed. Specimens of Centaurea cyanus L. differed in terms of features depending on fertilization. This difference was statistically significant. CaNPK + manure every 5 years and CaNPK fertilization have the biggest influence on the growth of Centaurea cyanus L. Variability for all tested features was proved by specimens of Centaurea cyanus L.
