Abstrakt
The experiment examined aversiveness of horses during the multiple blood collection procedure. The intensity of reactions was measured by heart rate changes. The pulse rate (heartbeats/min) in five variants: in the stable, before intervention, after hold-up, at needle insertion, during blood collection procedure and after intervention, was recorded. In most of the examined horses the increase of heart rate was found at needle insertion and after hold-up.
