A field experiment was done in a split-plot design with four replicates between 1999–2001 at the Experimental Station in Osiny. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of different methods of plant protection on the yielding and technological value of winter wheat. Four methods of plant protection and three cultivars of winter wheat: Mikon, Kobra and Sakwa were considered in this experiment. The plant protection ways differed in the number of protective treatments and in crop protection preparations. After harvest the grain yield and baking value (MTZ, test weight, falling number, protein content, gluten content, Zeleny test, weakening of gluten, dough rezistance, water absorption) were estimated. It was found that the highest yield and the highest baking quality were obtained where intensive plant protection was applied. It was lower in economy plant protection and the lowest without plant protection. In the 1999 year the Kobra had the highest grain yield, but in 2000 and 2001 year it was Sakwa.
