The aim of the study was to confirm the translocational character of winter rye strains obtained by hybridization of ‘Amilo’ cultivar with the wild Dasypyrum villosum (L.) P. Candargy species. Identification of D. villosum genetic material introgression to rye was conducted with RAPD method and with PCR amplification of a part of Dasypyrum villosum p380 repeated sequence. In 18 out of 19 investigated strains the presence of D. villosum DNA was confirmed. Each of the strains was identified, basing on the characteristic banding profile. At the same time, in the investigated strains the presence of the p380 D. villosum repeated sequence was not confirmed, which suggests that DNA introgression is located outside telomeres of chromosomes 1V-6V or from chromosome 7V.
