Abstract

The study was aimed to evaluate the influence of varied nitrogen fertilization on the content of Cu, Fe, Zn and Mn in spring wheat grain. Grain material originated from the field experiment performed in 1998–2000 and the following factors were included: three levels of nitrogen fertilization (50, 100 and 150 kg N/ha) and five spring wheat cultivars (Broma, Ismena, Jasna, Kontesa and Torka). Elements analysis was carried out by means of AAS technique. Fertilization at the level of 150 kg N/ha affected the decrease of copper and the increase of iron, zinc and manganese content in grain. Among the studied cultivars, the lowest amounts of copper, iron and manganese were found in Broma grain.
