Abstract

Basic logistic problems connected with running an authorised distribution activity by trading-servicing enterprise acting in an agriculture service sector are presented. Research results and research analyses for a selected group of spare parts necessary to carry out services of warranty and post-warranty inspections of John Deere agricultural tractors are discussed. The research was done at the Service Department of an authorised dealer of agricultural tractors of Deere & Company concern. The research cycle included the years 2003–2005. The research results obtained were analyzed statistically by calculating the value of seasonal indices. The time schedule of the quantity of spare parts sold was analysed in the aspect of an agritechnical operation calendar recommended for the domestic crop.
