In presented study the marketable yield of herb and length of vegetation period of Dracocephalum moldavica was determined depending on the botanical form. Plants with bluecolored flowers were characterized by a shorter growing season, compared to plants with whitecolored flowers. Significantly higher yield was obtained in the cultivation of blue-colored flowers. A major influence of botanical forms of Dracocephalum moldavica on the yield of plants has been proven. In subjected to laboratory analysis plants, the content of selected secondary metabolites was determined. Diverse content of biologically active compounds in tested botanical forms of Dracocephalum moldavica has been presented. It has been proven that plants with blue-colored flowers provide the raw material rich in essential oil, flavonoids and tannins, whereas plants with white-colored flowers are mainly rich in phenolic acids.
