The work presents a description of communities with Bromus secalinus establishing in cereals cultivated in the Podlaski Przełom Bugu mesoregion. The studies were carried out in the years 2004–2009. In the study area, the species occurred in patches of various Vicietum tetraspermae sub-associations as well as in Consolido-Brometum phytocenoses. Bromus secalinus was also found in impoverished communities with the characteristic species of Aperion spicae-venti and the community which is intermediate between Aperion spicae-venti and Polygono-Chenopodion, and which predominantly establishes in spring cereals. Bromus secalinus is a frequent species in the cereal communities of the Podlaski Przełom Bugu mesoregion. It is also a dynamic species as it occurs in communities occupying areas with a broad spectrum of habitat conditions, ranging from carbonate to quite acidic
