Abstract
Besides reminding the basic assumptions of variance analysis, an alternative method of finding differences existing between the means in agricultural tests was presented in the article. The test of Kruskal-Wallis is such a method. Besides theoretical considerations, the calculation procedure of the test, carried out on the basis of data concerning fructification of edible lentil of Trebiszewska variety, was presented here, too. As a result of the calculations, it was found that only average crops of lentil, in the case of monoculture and full cultivation and in the case of monoculture and partial cultivation, were not different from each other, in the way statistically significant.
