Abstract
The aim of the research carried out in 2021–2023 in six localizations (Jadwisin, Krzyżewo, Lućmierz, Osiny, Tarnów, Węgrzce) in the conditions of certified ecological experimental fields on ten edible potato cultivars (very early: Pogoria, Surmia, Tonacja, early: Arizona, Lilly and medium early: Connect, Irmina, Mariola, Red Lady, Soraya) was to assess the stability of tuber yield and structure of selected potato cultivars. After the final harvest, tuber yield and its structure was assessed (the share of small tubers with a diameter below 35 mm, medium tubers with
a diameter from 36 mm to 60 mm and large tubers with a diameter above 60 mm). The results were prepared based on the analysis of variance using the AMMI model, assessing the significance of the diversity of the studied factors and their share in the total variability. Then, the degree of wide adaptation of varieties to various environmental conditions was determined based on three measures (the measure of yield superiority – Pi, eskridey’s yield reliability measure – Ri, Kang’s stability measure – YSi). The studies showed significant differences in relation to the analyzed factors: environment (E), cultivars (G) and interaction (E × G). The greatest contribution to the variability of the environmental factor was found on the tuber yield and its structure. The highest degree of broad adaptation (Pi and Ri measures) in relation to tuber yield was demonstrated by the following cultivars Arizona and Connect.
