Abstract

A total of 33 strict field experiments were made in production fields of winter rapeseed in 8 voivodeships in Poland to examine the effects of foliar fertilisation of rapeseed with molybdenum. The following doses of molybdenum as an aqueous solution of ammonium molybdate were applied: 30, 60 and 120 g Mo · ha–1. The application was made twice: in spring, several days after the beginning of vegetation and at the beginning of stem formation. In the case of a low concentra-tion of Mo in the seeds of the control objects (at about 0.2 mg · kg–1), foliar the fertilisation of rapeseed with Mo led to an increase in the concentration of this component by about 39–56% depending on the dose and term of application of molybdenum. In the set of experiments where the concentration of molybdenum in the seeds of the control objects was twice as high, no change in the concentration of this component was observed as a result of molybdenum fertilisation.
