Abstract

The aim of the present investigation was the influence of SuPm8 genes on yield components in F1 and BC1 hybrids of common wheat cultivars Jubilatka, Lama, Olma with ‘Wilga’ and ‘Disponent’. Experiments were conducted at the Experimental Farm, Czesławice, using randomised blocks methods. Plant height, number of spikelets and grains in the main spike, weight of grains in the main spike, fertility of spikelets, 1000 grains weight and powdery mildew infestation were analysed. Values of investigation quantitative traits of F1 hybrids were higher than in parental cultivars. No significant differences of the analysed traits were recorded between suPm8 suPm8 and SuPm8 suPm8 genetypes in BC1 hybrids.
