Abstract

The aim of the studies was a comparison of the effect of varying autumn-spring tillage system and stubble crop fertilization with or without ploughing down straw on technological quality of sugar beet. The field experiment was conducted as a split-plot method in four replications on medium textured soil. Two factors of experiment were examined: 1) stubble crop fertilization with or without ploughing down straw: 2) autumn-spring tillage system and manure fertilization. Autumn ploughing was realized on three treatments, on the 4 treatment spring ploughing was done and on the 5 – conservation tillage. Manure fertilization on treatments 1 and 2 was, respectively, 20 and 10 t ha-1. Ploughing down straw with stubble crop decreased technological quality of sugar beet compare to ploughing down only stubble crop. The highest content of sugar was noticed under traditional tillage. Both fertilization and tillage system did not significantly modified the yields of technological sugar.
