The aim of the study was to assess the variability of the yield of winter wheat cultivars grown during 2009–2011 in different climatic and soil conditions in Lower Silesia, Poland. The data from the post-registration variety testing system for 10 cultivars from seven locations were subjected to discriminant and cluster analyses depending on the microregions. Definition of microregions is related to a large extent upon a set of cultivars recommended for a particular voivodeship (province). Cultivars Mulan and Muszelka were top yielders whereas Figura was a low yielding cultivar.
