The paper presents results of research on the effect occurrence of spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) on sugar beet yield as well as sugar content in roots and molasses. In addition, the study also takes into account the susceptibility of three varieties of sugar beet Janusz, Panorama and Silezja on the occurrence of the pest in the crop. The largest yield of sugar beet (102.0 t·ha-1) was obtained for the Panorama variety. In the years 2015–2016 the earliest of spider mites were found on the Janusz variety, at the latest on the Panorama variety. Varieties of Silezja and Panorama were the least susceptible cultivars to the occurrence and feeding of T. urticae. Colonization of spider mites had a significant impact on sugar beet yield, sugar content and molasses formation in roots.
