Abstract

Plants are used from the beginning of humanity as a source of food, medicines and fodder for domesticated animals. Active substances in plant tissues affect the greater suitability of some herbs. Animal organisms do not remain indifferent for that. With the right selection of preferred species, we can control health of cattle and some modification of the taste and properties of animal products. When we used in the feeding of ruminants specified amounts of plants rich in phenolic compounds, we can effectively prevent and reduce the occurrence of gastrointestinal parasites and prevent many diseases of the digestive system.
