Abstract

The study focused on determining the level of genetic diversity of selected breeding lines and identifying Pm6 gene. The presence of this gene is desirable in the gene pool of cereals, including wheat, as it contributes to the development of resistance variations and thereby reduces crop losses caused by powdery mildew. The research confirmed the presence of the Pm6 gene in 8 objects obtained from the breeding lines. Assessment of genetic diversity was based on RAPD markers. In the reaction with seven primers 58 fragments were obtained, 45 (77.6%) of which were polymorphic. In one reaction from 4 (for primer A05) to 13 (for primer D6) amplicons were obtained. Dice’s genetic similarity matrix indexes based on the results of research RAPD polymorphism markers was created. The value of the similarity index ranged from 0.72 to 0.96.
