The aim of field experiments carried out in 2004–2006 on potato production plantations in Lublin region was to evaluate the level of plant infestation by potato blight pathogen – Phytophthora infestans as a result of selected foliar fertilizers applied separately or in combinations with fungicides. The effects of 11 fertilizers, both mono- and multi-component ones with different contents of macro- and microelements, were tested. Different efficiency in reducing infestation level by blight pathogen of applied fertilizers was observed. Two multi-component fertilizers (Rolvit B i Plonvit K) as well as the mono-component one (Tytanit) also considered as a growth and development stimulator showed the best efficiency. Fungicides addition into the solution of the tested fertilizers reduced the plant’s infestation more in comparison to the control object (with no fertilizers and fungicides).
