Nutrition support in acute kidney injury (AKI) is a matter of many publications. Most of them are devotion to patients treated in intensive care units (ICU), in whom usually parenteral nutrition is performed. On the other hand there are only few researches dedicated patients with AKI able to get enteral nutrition. Caloric demand, protein and microelements supplementation are still investigated and discussed in these patients. The aim of this paper is to discussed current point of view on nutrition support in patients with AKI, especially those who do not need parenteral nutrition.
