Abstract
Hortitherapy, a form of natural therapy based on direct human contact with nature, is now gaining more and more advocates. The aim of this study was to present social preferences for the use of medicinal plants in the gardens of the spa facilities and the possibility of using herbs in the conceptual framework. The work also includes a design of exemplary landscaping and herbal plants at the spa, with medicinal and ornamental character. The results of surveys conducted indicate the need for a greater use of medicinal plants in the garden compositions near spa facilities. A large selection of medicinal plants enables a variety of applications in the areas of greenery near spa facilities.
