The research material consisted of potato tubers harvested from a three-year field experiment, set up in three replicates using the split-plot method. The first experimental factor consisted of two cultivars ‘Malaga’ and ‘Oberon’, and the second factor were five application of herbicide and biostimulants: 1. control object – without herbicide and biostimulants; 2. the herbicide Avatar 293 ZC; 3. the herbicide Avatar 293 ZC and the biostimulant PlonoStart; 4. the herbicide Avatar 293 ZC and the biostimulant Aminoplant; 5. the herbicide Avatar 293 ZC and the biostimulant Agro-Sorb Folium. The content of total sugars, reducing sugars and sucrose in the fresh mass of tubers was determined using the Schoorl-Luff method. The cultivar ‘Oberon’ contained significantly less total sugars, reducing sugars and sucrose than the cultivar ‘Malaga’. Herbicide Avatar 293 ZC used with the PlonoStart and Agro-Sorb Folium biostimulants, decreased the amount of total sugars in potato tubers, compared with control tubers.
