Abstract
Triticale is a valuable feed grain with high nutritional value. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of varied percentages of cereals in sowing structure, under different technologies, on the content of nutrients in grains of three selected cultivars of winter triticale. Under monoculture, triticale grains contained more carbohydrates and crude fiber, while under 75% share of cereals in the sowing structure, more protein, fat and crude ash. Under intensive production technology, triticale grains contained more total protein and carbohydrates, while less crude fat. Ash and crude fiber contents did not depend on production technology. On average from the years of the study, grains of ‘Fredro’ and ‘Alekto’ cultivars contained a similar content of carbohydrates, while less of them was found in the grains of ‘Cerber’ cultivar, which simultaneously, had the highest content of crude ash. The crude fiber content in the grains was lower in ‘Cerber’ and ‘Fredro’ than in ‘Alekto’. Precipitation affected the concentration of carbohydrate and ash content in the grain of winter triticale. With lower total precipitation and higher average monthly temperature, higher contents of total protein, crude fat and crude fiber in the grains, were obtained.
