The field study was carried out in years 2010–2012 at the Experimental Farm in Bezek near Chełm. The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of chemical plant protection and foliar fertilization on weed infestation, grain yield and yield structure as well as some grain quality parameters of the naked and hulled forms of oats. In the study, Lintur 70 WG herbicide or a mixture of Lintur 70 WG and Chwastox Extra 300 SL was used. Foliar fertilizers were Insol 3 and FoliCare 18:18:18. It was stated that the chemical weed control significantly reduced the air-dry weight of weeds in the naked oats canopy by 50–64%, while in hulled oat from 53% to 61%. At the same time, grain yield of oat significantly increased compared to the control treatment by 20–22% and 13–23%, respectively. The application of Insol 3 and FoliCare 18:18:18 increased weed infestation in both forms of oats. However, foliar fertilizers did not influence the grain yield of oat. The experimental factors only slightly differentiated the grain quality features of oat.
