Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the relation between the dynamic of catches click beetle trapping with pheromone traps. Monitoring of pests was conducted in 2011–2013 in the fields of potato, corn, sugar beet and grasses at five localities in two voivodships (wielkopolskie and warmińsko-mazurskie). The effectiveness of trapping beetles using pheromone traps in different localities varied. In all examined positions dominated Agriotes lineatus L., A. obscurus L. and A. sputator L. The results of the analysis of variance indicate statistically significant differences in the number of A. lineatus only in individual years of research. On average, most individuals of this species were observed in the first year of observation (72.62), and the least in 2012 – 18.5. Statistically significant differences in the occurrence of beetles in each month was observed for all species except of A. obscurus. The course of the weather conditions effected their effectiveness. The obtained results allow to improve of forecasting short-term and long-term for the chemical control against wireworms.
